Condition: Very good condition, it shows wear to the enamel on the edges typical of its age, as well as a small superficial hairline crack in the center, which was brush-coated at the back before the final firing to stabilize it. Old post-coctem hole.
Provenance: Private Collection, Madrid
Large Renaissance dish, likely produced in the Triana (Seville) workshops during the early decades of the 16th century, featuring a design inspired by contemporary Manises models. The rim is decorated with raised gadroons—some filled in solid, others with small flowers and spirals, and others set against a sheet-music motif (solfas) background. In the center, the convex boss (mambla) depicts a running hare in profile. The reverse is decorated with concentric lines. Includes a post-coctem hanging hole.
On the back, an antique label from the "Durán S.A." auction house and an inventory number, likely dating from the 1970s–1980s. Fitted with a metal wall-hanging mechanism.
